Simha Vahana Seva held at Tirumala on Oct. 14

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) conducted the Simha Vahana Seva on the third morning of the Srivari Navahnika Brahmotsavams in Tirumala on Oct. 14, 2026.

Sri Malayappa Swamy was taken in procession on the ferocious Simha vahanam in the form of Yoga Narasimha.

TTD stated that the lion symbolises royalty, power, courage, speed and divine authority, recalling Narasimha Avatara.

Both the Pontiffs of Tirumala, Executive Officer Ravichandra, Additional Executive Officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, Chief Vigilance and Security Officer Muralikrishna, temple Deputy Executive Officer Bhaskar, and board members Bhanuprakash Reddy, Janaki Devi, Rangasri and Santaram participated.

The procession represents the deity as protector of the righteous and helpless during the annual festival.
