TTD expands sanitation measures for Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavam

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) announced sanitation measures during the Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavam in Tirumala.

The trust maintains 45 toilets in the galleries of the four Mada streets, cleaned continuously in three shifts.

Tirumala has 230 permanent and 149 temporary toilets to serve nearly two lakh pilgrims daily.

TTD deployed 2,600 regular sanitation staff alongside 750 additional workers for the festival.

Tippers regularly transport garbage from the Mada streets to the dumping yard, with 6,000 dustbins placed at 3,000 locations across town.

Officials test 60 food and drinking-water samples daily and conduct weekly cleaning drives at fast-food centers.

TTD Deputy EO for Health Somannarayana reported that Srivari Sevaks collect pilgrim feedback, with over 98 percent of devotees expressing satisfaction with cleanliness.

Pilgrims visiting Tirumala during the Brahmotsavam have access to 379 public toilets, continuous waste clearance, and daily water and food safety testing.
